1. AI-Assisted Analysis. AuthentiCheck's originality score and AI-likelihood read are AI-assisted estimates only, based on writing-style signals and Pressfiles' own internal-submission history — not a plagiarism-detection-grade web search, and not an official DepEd finding. Always review flagged content yourself and treat the result as a conversation starter with the student, never an automatic verdict.
2. Data We Collect and Process. To run a check, we process the text you submit together with your account name and email, and (for AI-likelihood analysis) share the submitted text with our third-party AI service provider solely to generate the result. Please avoid entering a student's full name or other sensitive personal data in the submission text itself — use the optional Label field for identification instead.
3. Internal Similarity Matching. Submitted text is also compared against other text previously checked on Pressfiles to catch reused/resubmitted work. A match is reported only as a percentage and a rough date — never the other submission's content, teacher, or student.
4. Your Rights Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173). You have the right to be informed of how your data is processed, to access it, to object to or withdraw consent for further processing, to request correction or erasure, and to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (NPC).
